Err... Bre and I went to a drag show at a club called Gay 90's for her birthday. It was really fun, and Bre had reserved front row seats. It was very entertaining and funny.

The night before that I went to a stereotype party at Kiki's. She insisted that the stereotypes people came as were atypical of their normal selves. I dressed up chola style to match Joe, because we're both part Mexican but don't follow any of it.


We also played a lot of Dance Central. That's Pat in the background.

It was a fun time, except I was dizzy/stomach-achey the entire time without my glasses D: But it was a good chance to hang out with Pat and my rarely-seen friends.

Grim has been ridiculously affectionate lately. I looove it. He also became addicted to cat treats, as he would get one after each med dose. He seriously stopped eating all other food and has been crying at the filled dishes (when I refill them IN FRONT OF HIM). It took a little bit to figure out why he was mad at the current food, until I caught him trying to steal the treat bag like a drug fiend. XD So now, no more kitty treats. HE IS OUT OF CONTROL.

In other news, I just reached the second half of Final Fantasy VI, am slowly progressing through the Elite Four in SoulSilver (gotta beat it before White!!!!), and am almost level 72 in WoW.

I just ate the most AMAZING butternut squash ravioli lean cuisine.

I laughed so hard at this part in Scrubs (6:08-6:22). I probably thought it was so funny because Murphy gets so much crap about being a bad doctor.

Man I love that show!

HAHAHAHAHA, what the heck? XD That's a very silly photo, no matter how you slice it.

Oh, Grim. Maybe the affection has come from a near-death experience making him realize that he should be kind to the people he loves, and stop working so hard, and learn to embrace the simple joys of life? XD

Yeah, kitty treat addictions are hard to break. Loki looooves kitty treats, but we've been able to manage his intake so far. Dante likes treats--it takes him awhile to get used to a new treat, for some reason. But, my mom's cat Juno is ADDICTED to chicken treats. Oh my god, it's kitten crack. O_O He used to get excited any time anyone went over to the fridge, where the treats are kept, and he'd sometimes try to jump on people's ARMS when they were opening the jar. So ridiculous. XD

Oooo....the 30-day thing sounds like fun~! =D Since I already update far too much, I probably don't need to do it, but it'll be cool to see the results of yours! Whee!

I hope so! He IS very adorable. He also has an obsession with laying UNDER the blanket with you - until he can't breathe anymore. He never learns his lesson!

That's crazy, as if it's pure catnip instead of kitty junk food! Nero was being so weird the other day! He tried to JUMP on me and CLIMB UP MY ARM... as if he doesn't weigh in the upper teens and um, HELLO I AM A PERSON NOT A POST! And then he went over to Steve and did the thing where he tries to lay across the shoulders. AGAIN as if he's not a monster.

I thought the 30-day thing would help spice up the journal! ^_^

I kinda always wanted to go to a themed party, until I did...while I was in college. It was themed, but it was the same type of party--everyone besides me got hammered and ate too many chips and smoked (cigarettes, not the other). D=

Oh god. XD Our kitties have been allowed to have the door open the past few nights, and have been insanely grateful for it--they've been sleeping with us for 95% of the night, and Loki has been especially willing to cuddle. Seriously, last night I just grabbed him like a teddy bear and hugged him to sleep, and not only did he allow it, but he also fell asleep! XD SO CUTE!

...XDDD Oh, Nero. You and Dante could be friends. Dante's latest obsession with jumping on any person if they bend over has become increasingly ridiculous. He's even jumped on Brian's back when he was doing push ups. XD

Yeah, the parties basically always include alcohol, but you never HAVE to drink! The best themed party was Pirate, as Kiki set up things like a kissing booth and a whole list of pirate-themed drinks, and had a bartending wench XD But yes... alcohol is a staple. :/

I LOVE when the cats sleep with us. It's just so adorable! When Grim lays with me for sleeps I just die inside. Nero lays ON us so it's less cute and more suffocate-y, but I still give him love when I wake up. ^_^

Eh, they say that you never have to drink, but it's a social bonding ritual that if you abstain from it, it's like you're abstaining from the group. It makes the drinkers less comfortable, and unsure of how to interact with you. Plus, if people start drinking to excess, then if you're like me, and find drunk people irritating and stupid, you end up feeling like a day care adult with a bunch of kids. Though, I don't mind alcohol as a rule--my mom and Scott always have an open bar available for their parties, and people drink. But, I much prefer to the way adults drink in moderation, as a social gesture, to the way teens/20-year-olds drink to get drunk.

I love it when the cats SLEEP at night. D= I'll take anywhere at all as long as they're not awake mewing and throwing themselves at the door.

Kiki's had enough parties that a lot of people don't drink now when they come, or only have a drink or two (especially now with so many different types of work schedules). I don't even notice who has a drink and who doesn't. But back in the day her house definitely was like what you've described!

Hahaha ughh my cats don't throw themselves at the door anymore, they put their paws under the door and pull/scratch... equally annoying D:

Haha, part of that is probably just that everyone is getting older, and the appeal of getting really drunk all the time there's a party is starting to fade. XD

Our kittens are so ridiculous. D= I feel like I'm dealing with the Terrible Twos right now, in terms of behavior and energy level. I can't wait until they settle down into cats, even though I love how adorable they are. =/

It's sooo true! It's like you can't wait for them to grow up, but you also are totally going to miss all the adorable kitten moments! I still can't believe my cats used to be able to fit into MY palm O_O And now they can attempt to murder me in my sleep from the sheer weight.
