Bahaha see though Re: Our Discussion on Bad Literature? :D I looooved the Harry Potter books despite all those things you said. I don't care that they started off aimed at 5th graders and then attempted to progress mroe seriously. I didn't care that Harry was on the classic Hero's Journey Against the Forces of Evil.
While I appreciate the Right Kind of Villain (such as Zuko, or The Joker, or Ben), I was okay with Voldemort being the ultimate villain in those books, because she set it up that way from the start. It was to be expected. I wasn't reading for that, anyway.
I see Harry Potter as an extremely loved, nostalgia-producing series that I will cherish forever, and it was a huge part of my teen years. <333
As for your Slytherin comments, I felt the same way about you for it. But I still needed to point out that you are clever, cunning, and can be stone cold when you have to ^_^
